Booking Bwindi Gorilla permits

Gorilla trekking takes place in Bwindi impenetrable National park and Mgahinga National park and one needs permission in order to watch or view the mountain gorillas. This means therefore that you have to buy a gorilla permit to allow you see mountain gorillas in Uganda. As beforehand explained, Uganda wildlife Authority issues out electric gorilla permit cards at its head office in Kampala and it’s this card that you will take to Bwindi Impenetrable National park headquarters on the day of gorilla trekking. Once it’s checked and found valid, you will be allowed to trek gorillas. One gorilla permit allows you to trek gorillas and in case you find them, spend one hour and then return back. The gorilla permit includes a gorilla guide who will trek with you until you find the rare mountain gorillas, this includes park entry fees for Bwindi Impenetrable national park as well as spending one hour of photography and observing mountain gorillas.

The gorilla permit in Uganda costs $600 per person for the Non-resident tourists, $500 for foreign residents and East African citizens of Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania pay shs 250,000 only. Once this is established, details will be entered into their system and a gorilla permit card issued out. Even though we book the gorilla permits in the absence of the clients who mostly book in advance, we have to scan and send them a copy and the originals have to be picked and sent to Bwindi Impenetrable national park since they will be required on the very trekking day.
